The following are included: 

🖌️ Brushes

  • Round brushes (sizes 2, 6, 10)
  • Flat brushes (1/2" and 1")
  • Detail brush (size 0 or 1)
  • Mop brush (optional for washes)
  • Synthetic or natural hair (sable, squirrel, or synthetic blends)

🎨 Paints

  • Watercolor Paints (tubes or pans)
    • Recommended beginner brands: Winsor & Newton Cotman, Van Gogh, Sakura Koi
    • Primary colors (warm & cool), earth tones, black, white (optional)

EaselTabletop or standing, depending on space availability, while in the studio in person.

The following are NOT included in the fee: 

🧻 Paper & Surfaces

  • Watercolor Paper (140 lb / 300 gsm minimum)
    • Cold press (textured), hot press (smooth), or rough, depending on style
    • Pads, blocks, or individual sheets
  • Optional: A watercolor sketchbook for practice

💧 Containers & Tools

  • Water containers (at least 2 – one for rinsing, one for clean water)
  • Mixing palette (plastic, porcelain, or metal)
  • Spray bottle or mister (to rewet paint)
  • Masking tape or painter’s tape (to secure paper)
  • Drawing board or hard surface for taping paper
  • Paper towels, sponge, or absorbent cloth

✏️ Drawing & Planning Tools

  • Pencil (2H or HB for sketching)
  • Eraser (kneaded or white vinyl)
  • Ruler or straight edge

The classes can be held in person or remotely. There is a hybrid option as well.
