Brushes

• Bristle brushes (Flat, Round, Filbert, and Bright)
• Soft synthetic brushes for blending
• Fan brushes (optional)

Palette & Mixing Tools

• Wooden or acrylic palette
• Palette knives (for mixing and applying paint)

Easel – Tabletop or standing, depending on space availability, while in the studio in person.

Other Essentials

• Rags or paper towels
• Glass or metal containers for solvents
• An apron or old clothes
• Gloves (optional)
• Easel (tabletop or standing)
• Sketchbook and pencils (for preliminary sketches)

Painting Surfaces

• Canvas (stretched or canvas panels)
• Canvas paper or oil painting paper (for studies)
• Wooden panels (optional)

Acrylic Paints (Basic Palette)

• Titanium White
• Cadmium Yellow (Light or Medium)
• Yellow Ochre
• Cadmium Red (Light or Medium)
• Alizarin Crimson
• Ultramarine Blue
• Cerulean Blue
• Burnt Sienna
• Burnt Umber
• Ivory Black

Water Containers & Rags

• Jars or cups for rinsing brushes
• Paper towels or cloth rags for wiping excess paint

Acrylic Mediums (Optional but Useful)

• Matte, gloss, or satin medium (to adjust finish and consistency)
• Gel medium (for texture or glazing)
• Retarder (to slow drying time)
• Modeling paste (for thick texture)
