In my late teens, during high school, I was deeply enamored with the art of M.C. Escher. I was captivated by the way Escher played with perspective and surrealistic elements in his work, which inspired me to hone my own drawing skills. As a personal challenge during my senior year, I dedicated myself to improving my drawing and mastering the use of shadows. This particular drawing was motivated by my interest in depicting hands and refining my shading technique.
